Multi-Player/Screen Synching
The HD1010 is preferred over and above the HD1010W for projects
requiring multi-unit, multi-screen synching of HD content. It is a
stable and cost-effective solution where the project requires both/either
players to power-up and then just play on a synched loop all day long
and/or also to be triggered by button press, etc.
The HD1010 units are started together and restarted at each loop point
and at each media file change in the playlists. For presentations of
20-25 minutes duration you can expect a maximum of 3-5 frames drift over
the playing loop. MPEG-2 files are
recommended, encoded at 1280x720 or 1920x1080 @ 25 fps, transport
stream @ 25Mbps constant bit rate.
When purchasing HD1010 units for synch applications customers are
obliged to simultaneously acquire the 'Synch Kit' (please see our
'Digital Players Accessories' section) unless they have already
purchased it. The 'Synch Kit' is a one-off purchase containing all the
pre-written scripts, test media and documentation you will ever need for
all your projects requiring multi-unit synching.
A 100mbps hub with adequate number of ports and Cat5 cabling is also
required for connection of the synched players to each other over a
network. AV cabling and class 6 SD cards are also required.
